Micro Iron Tip

A small iron shaped tip about the size of a fingernail. Fit into the Stylus and tighten the retaining screw. A very useful tip that can be utilized in many ways. It behaves much like the end of a small palette knife. Excellent for patterning, working "inside" an image, etc A worthy addition to your tools. The flat base is made from thin aluminium and can be re-shaped using a metal file to modify and create your own tips!

Wire Brush Tip

A coated copper wire brush head that is used heated. Fit into the Stylus and tighten the retaining screw. These metal fibres are fragile so be kind to them and do not "stab" into the wax colour's. the fibres will bend if pressed too hard during use. they can easily be bent back. To clean use a cheap candle, fill the heated brush head with clear wax and pinch the fibres between a tissue. Always pull the tissue gently along the metal fibres from the Stylus unit towards the tip. Once tangled it is hard to repair!

Wax Sealer

Use this sealer as a protective coating to any wax art. It keeps the wax colour's looking fresh & bright & gives tough (acrylic) protection to the delicate wax surface. Apply sealer to carefully polished wax art using a soft flat 18mm (3/4") water colour brush.
Recommended for Greetings Cards but not really advisable for fine art as it is an acrylic and also makes later change or addition to the encaustic wax artwork difficult.

Hot Air Gun

We do not actually have a particular Hot Air Gun tool for sale.

The trick to avoid burning the wax or getting "popped" bubbles in the card, or blowing "holes" in the wax, is to ensure that you keep the nozzle moving around all the time whilst working. Never just point it at one place. Always dance the air about in an area. And work as cool as is possible. If the wax smokes it is too hot.
